Registered Advisor
Jacob Aguilera joined Liberty Capital in 2025 after spending four years in corporate America as a Supply Chain Manager at Viasat Inc., where he worked within the company's satellite communications division supporting commercial mobility and Wi-Fi services for airlines.
His experience at Viasat helped shape the way he approaches financial planning today. Managing multimillion-dollar budgets, coordinating complex product deliveries, and working closely with suppliers and customers taught Jacob the importance of careful planning, relationship management, and finding solutions that work for the individual circumstances of each situation. It also reinforced a lesson he carries into his advisory practice: the cookie-cutter solution is rarely the best solution.
Today, Jacob focuses on helping individuals, families, business owners, and retirees make informed financial decisions and build wealth with purpose. Rather than starting with a product or investment, Jacob starts by understanding the bigger picture—where a client is today, where they want to go, and what is most important to them. From there, he develops a personalized strategy designed to help them work toward their financial goals.
Jacob believes financial planning is about more than managing investments. It is about helping people develop sound financial habits, make better decisions, and ultimately create the financial freedom to live the life they want. Each client's strategy is customized to their circumstances and reviewed at least annually, with ongoing communication and adjustments as their goals and lives evolve.
Why Financial Planning?
Financial planning has been part of Jacob's life for as long as he can remember. His father has been a financial advisor for more than 30 years, and Jacob spent several summers working in his father's office during high school and college. Through that experience, he saw firsthand the impact that thoughtful financial guidance can have on individuals and families.
One principle in particular has stayed with him: pay yourself first. Jacob learned from an early age that investing is a way of paying yourself for the future, and that starting early can make a significant difference because of the power of compounding.
After several years in corporate America, Jacob realized that he wanted his career to have a more meaningful impact on people's lives. Financial planning provided an opportunity to combine his analytical and problem-solving experience with something he genuinely values: helping people make the most of their financial resources and pursue the life they want.
Jacob particularly enjoys working with clients who are building wealth and want a comprehensive financial plan, while also helping established and high-net-worth clients manage and grow the wealth they have already accumulated. His goal is to meet clients where they are and build a strategy around their unique circumstances—not force them into a predetermined approach.
